Bridal Boudoir Photos with Miss S - Pink Blush Boudoir Edmonton

Bridal Boudoir is the perfect gift and keepsake for yourself and that special someone in your life. Miss S themed her whole session around her upcoming wedding. All of her outfits were bought from Etsy, and honestly I am here for it! They are all perfectly bridal themed, soft pinks and whites look fabulous on this babe as well.

If you are doing a bridal themed shoot, bringing your wedding day accessories is also another great idea of adding in some glam to your shoot but keeping it authentic to how you will look on the day of. Check out her super cute wedding shoes. Another note, is to make sure you have your wedding ring on as well for the shoot, as we like to do some detail shots of your hands, to show off that fabulous ring they bought you.

Witchy Bathtub shoot } Boudoir Studio Edmonton

I love the versatility of doing bathtub shoots. By adding different ingredients to the water we can create looks from white to black and every colour in-between. This is a recent shoot done with Miss L and i’m so in love with how it turned out. The dark water is so mysterious and goes so well with my witchy model.

Celebrating Me } Boudoir Photography Pink Blush.

People sometimes ask me if ever get board of shooting boudoir, and I have to say that “no, I never do”, and it’s because of women like Miss G. This amazing woman came to me last fall to celebrate herself and her transformative journey. From the moment I met her I felt her powerful confident energy. That kind of energy you feel off a woman who has been through her own version of hell and who has crawled her way out. I couldn’t wait to do her shoot after our initial meeting at her consultation, and Im so excited to present her images to you now. Here is Miss G’s Amazing story.

“The past few years have been a journey of self-discovery for me. My marriage ended, and I was facing an uncertain future. I had already started focusing on becoming healthier, but my confidence was almost non-existent. I had lost my individual identity and knew I needed to rediscover who I was. 

I made the effort to eat better, workout with a trainer at the gym, and put myself first. Over the course of 3 years I saw a dramatic weight loss and became happier and rejuvenated. I was finding joy in life and being who I was meant to be. I noticed that as I loved myself more, the energy I was putting out into the world was more positive and others were noticing this too. I felt like a whole new person.

As my confidence grew, I could feel my female power come to the forefront. I never really thought of myself as sexy or truly beautiful, but something awoke within me. I wanted to explore this feeling and embrace this energy. I also knew that I was doing this for myself and not for others, so that has was a huge boost to my ego and confidence.

I started looking into different ways to express this new found confident energy and boudoir photos seemed to just check all the boxes. Here was a way I could embrace my body, my sexuality, my femininity, and my confidence, and not feel afraid to be who I truly was. I researched various photography studios throughout the city and decided that Pink Blush Boudoir’s values and feminine energy was aligned with mine. I knew that they could help me embrace all that I was becoming or had always been as a woman and really let myself feel sexy and empowered. I was also just a few weeks away from my 38th birthday, and this seemed like the perfect birthday present to my new self!

Sarina made me feel comfortable with my decision, right from the start. The initial consult was so moving and empowering that I actually cried as I “unpacked” my story and reasons for wanting to do boudoir photos. I knew that I was going to be part of something amazing and couldn’t wait to have my session.

Everything about the session, from the hair and makeup, to the photos, to the great conversation during the shoot, just left me feeling strong and confident and sexy. This was a dream come true! 

I can honestly say that I was a bit nervous when it was time to actually review the photos to choose which I wanted, but that was only because I had never really seen myself through someone else’s eyes and didn’t know what to expect. As soon as I saw the preview slide show, I knew that any fear or nervousness was unfounded. Again I cried, as there I was, looking confident, sexy, and gorgeous, and I just knew this was who I was all along. I was in awe! The photos were amazing and it was so hard to choose which ones I wanted. The ones I did choose all are phenomenal and I currently have 4 of them framed and up in my apartment. Everyone that sees them are blown away and asks where I had them done and why, so I tell my story.

I did this for me, no one else. But I am proud to share my journey with others. We all need to learn to love ourselves first and discover who we are, before we can share that love with others. And any time I feel my confidence shake, I just look at those photos, and know that I am good enough, strong enough, and right where I am meant to be.”

Miss I } Curvy Women in Boudoir Photography

I cannot believe how many women message us and ask if we photograph “Plus Size Women” or “Curvy Women.” Of course we do! We love women of all shaped and sizes and Miss I is a prime example of a fabulously curvy woman. Take a peak at her images below, she has some great outfit inspiration and some great pose ideas for curvy women.

Bodysuits or Teddies are the perfect outfit for accentuating a woman’s shape. These outfits are super flattering as they are still tight to the body to show off your curves, but give you a little more coverage.

High waisted panties or garter belts are perfect for accentuating her shape as well. How cool is this black harness piece that she got? I love all the straps and the buckles, it perfectly compliments her shape. You could even try something like this out with a bra and panty set if you weren’t comfortable going naked. I am also loving the red floral cut out bra that she brought it, very unique and goes nicely with her lacey brown high waisted panties.

Edgy & Pretty Boudoir Photography } Miss A

Flashback to Miss A’s shoot in November! I am in love with the variety of outfits she brought, her look compliments all the different vibes we were going for; Edgy & Pretty.

Here are a few words from her about her experience with us:

A few short months ago I found myself newly single, and in need of a confidence boost.  I had never had a professional photography session before but randomly found the Pink Blush Boudior website and decided to enquire about a session with the dynamic duo that is Sarina and Calie.  On the day of my session I arrived with low expectations (I have never been particularly photogenic) and found myself slightly (probably more than slightly) nervous.  All of this was entirely unnecessary all due to Sarina and Calie.  While sipping a glass of wine I was able to relax while Sarina worked her magic on my hair and makeup.  Afterwards and feeling as if I at least looked the part I made my way over to Calie where the rest of my nerves quickly dissipated.  Calie will talk you through every pose, figure out all of the best angles, make sure your outfit is perfect and your hair remains tousled.  I left my session tired but happy, and with a serious confidence boost.  The only thing better than how I felt following my session was getting to see my finished pictures... which were: amazing.  I highly encourage any and every woman to have a boudior shoot with these ladies!  Your confidence (as well as anyone in particular you might show the pictures to) will seriously thank you.

In the meantime, Miss K is up on the blog today with some outfit inspiration. The first outfit is from none other than Feather and Pearl, I am in LOVE with how this paired on our new pink couch. The cream and blush pink colours and intricate lace details are a match made in heaven. And who doesn’t love a high waisted panty. Super cute. If you have a little more curves this outfit would look great on you! High waisted panty + dropped down buster top will help accentuate your curves and make your waist look smaller.

Miss K did this as a wedding gift for her fiancé so this first outfit is perfect if you are thinking of doing a bridal boudoir shoot. Outfit two is another great option, a black and sexy Teddie. Teddie’s work great for giving you a little more body coverage if that is what you are looking for but still showing off your shape nicely. I love how she wanted to add in this sexy garter panty hose with this outfit, it gives it that little extra. Outfit three is also a great idea if you have a little more curve, a Merrywidow works good to again draw your eye down to the hip line and accentuate your curves. Last but not least, the classic white sheet / naked look. No one can go wrong with this as an outfit. It really is so versatile and great for any body shape. The white sheet works great if you want to cover up and not show any skin or you can use it more as an accessory and just be naked!

I have been slacking on the blogging front these past month as December was a crazy month for me with everyone trying to get in before Christmas. Now that I am back from my Christmas break and back to our normal work load there is time for blogging! I have a ton of images to share with all of you so I am hoping to have a post come out every couple days so I can catch up.

I love sharing my work with you all. Our blog posts are a great spot for outfit and pose inspiration, and it gives you a great idea of our style as well. Miss B is a client from back in October (you can see I am a little behind… lol), check out her images below. I am loving that we played around with both sides of her personality and incorporating the plaid shirt with cowboy boots was a nice touch.

Miss S } Edmonton Boudoir Photography

I just love when a girl comes in to the studio with a super unique look and vibe to her. Miss S was no different, with all of her fabulous tattoos and bright orange hair, it all added to her boudoir photos.

Sarina helped her choose a bold makeup look that would compliment her vibe, and the dark eye really adds an extra element of edgy to the images. Even the outfits we ended up selecting compliment her look nicely, the combo of the red romper with her hair and plus the mismatched bra and panty set actually works really well here, I am loving the colour flow that they put together. Lastly, when you have lots of tattoos you can’t go wrong with trying out the naked look! It lets all her tattoos speak for themselves.

Happy Birthday Surprise } Miss J

Miss J came to our studio back in September! She wanted to wish that special man in her life the happiest of Birthdays, so here is your Happy Birthday wish!

I love being part of special moments like this one, but as boudoir photographers we are so fortunate to photograph so many beautiful woman, but getting to show these women how beautiful they really are is the best part of our job. Girl’s are usually pleasantly surprised at how their photos turned out so it’s always a nice added bonus for them when the photos exceed their expectations.
