Miranda | Post Baby Boudoir

Back in May Miranda came to Pink Blush Boudoir looking for a boost in confidence after having a baby. Many women just like Miranda, feel like since they have had children that their bodies are no longer beautiful or sexy. Even after losing baby weigh many women still feel insecure about their skin, stretch marks, and body shape. Often their concerns are not nearly as bad as they think in their mind, but understandably, after having a baby or 2 or 3, your body just isn't the same. At Pink Blush Boudoir we have lots of women who come through that feel this way, it is amazing how much better a woman can feel after seeing her body in professional photographs. Those once dreaded stretch marks are soon much less noticeable then they once thought. Sometimes the kind words for your children's father are just not enough for your to see the beauty in your new body. Erika | Boudoir Photography

With todays latest fashion many ladies are sporting bold glasses to complete their look. Not only do they want to wear them with their everyday clothing but also in their boudoir photos. As a photographer I do like the look of glasses, however, they do make shooting a little more tricky. The glare from glasses can prevent your eyes form piping through in your photos. If you are hoping to use a pair of funky specks in your shoot, I would suggest seeing if you can pop out your lenses, or maybe pick up a pair of cheep frames that you can take the lenses out of. I love the colours in this shoot. Coral's read hair goes perfectly with her coral bra and panty set and our blue corset from Sweet Carousel Corsetry. We keep natural colours on our sets so clients are free to bring whatever colours they like. Now that summer is here Im sure we will be seeing a lot more colour around here. Superhero Boudoir | Pink Blush Boudoir

When planning what to ware for your boudoir session I highly recommend thinking outside the box. I love it when girls bring in superhero T-shirts or other fun comic, or cartoon Tee's. I find once girls slip a fun shirt on they become relaxed and the shoot gets a lot more playful. A fun shirt can be used to send a message to a loved one or just to boost your own confidence that you are a super woman. Skin Care For Boudoir | Boudoir Photography Edmonton

Many of the ladies who come to our studio want to know how to prepare their skin for their shoot so I thought I would share a few tips. Skin photographs the best when it is well hydrated and moisturized. Drinking lots of water the week of your shoot will help hydrate you and help to shed some excess water weight. The next step is exfoliating. Exfoliating the skin will remove the dull dead skin from the surface, to reveal the new healthy skin below. Most importantly you must moisturize. Once the dead skin has been removed your moisturize will be absorbed by the new healthy skin, giving you a beautiful glow for your photo shoot. For a boudoir session you want your skin to glow from head to toe. Using a light shimmer lotion or coconut oil can give you a best results for your shoot. I recommend avoiding tan lines, and spray tans of any kind. If you want some added colour for your shoot consider a few tanning sessions (be careful not to burn), or we can add the colour to your skin evenly in photoshop. Alison had lovely skin. Edmonton Photographer Here's an old photo shoot for you to enjoy! This one is from back in  January where we ventured out of our studio to the Metterra on Whyte Avenue.  Suzie was lots of fun and wanted to do something special for her man and for herself.  It is great to get photos done for your significant other but really in the end the photos are a bit for yourself as well. Sherwood Park Photography Getting your hair and makeup done for your photo session I believe is crucial! Our hair and makeup stylists are professionals and know what photo ready make up looks like.  I would say about 98% of the woman who come through our studio get their hair and makeup done, but there are always questions for why they should be adding that on to their boudoir photo session.  Everyday makeup is not photo ready makeup. A woman may be very good at doing her own hair and makeup but does not realize the difference between a boudoir photo look and a girls night out look.  Even if your going after a more natural look, our artists know exactly what to do! Chelsea made sure to get her hair and makeup done for her session, and it turned out so good! It really adds that little something to your photos.
